As the Virginia Law Foundation (VLF) celebrates its 50th anniversary, it continues to deepen its impact on the legal community and beyond. Under the leadership of President Colleen M. Quinn, the foundation reflects on a legacy of substantial contributions toward promoting the rule of law, access to justice, and law-related education. Over the years, the VLF has donated more than $28 million in grants to a variety of organizations across Virginia, supporting causes like the Library of Virginia, the Virginia Poverty Law Center, and the Virginia Holocaust Museum’s Nuremberg Courtroom exhibit. Furthermore, the foundation’s educational arm, Virginia CLE®, has been recognized as the leading provider of continuing legal education, enriching the professional lives of lawyers with high-quality seminars and publications.
The VLF’s 50th year is marked by a series of celebratory events, including a gala featuring world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma, and an international CLE trip to The Hague. These initiatives not only celebrate past achievements but also aim to inspire future contributions to justice and community well-being. As part of a community deeply committed to these values, the VLF invites both long-standing and new supporters to join in envisioning and realizing a future where justice and the rule of law continue to flourish.
