If you are having issues with accessing your escrow funds with SEAM LLC (Surrogacy Escrow Account Management) then you should consider taking the following actions:
- Report it to the Houston and Texas police.
- Report it to the FBI.
- Contact the FDIC as the website represents funds are FDIC insured.
- Check your documentation and agreement with SEAM regarding protection of your funds and
contact the Texas Bureau of insurance. Note that SEAM represents on its website: “SEAM, LLC has a
$1,000,000.00 per incident liability insurance (errors and omissions) policy, $200,000 per incident
fidelity bond (crime insurance), as well as a $100,000 per incident dishonesty bond, and $20,000 per
incident surety bond. All funds are further insured to the FDIC limit of $250,000.00.” - Consider forming a Facebook or other group to connect with other families. Share information
with each other. - Continue to pay your carrier! If you are struggling to pay, then see if the carrier might agree to a
reduced amount or a temporary reduction in amounts while the funding issues are investigated and
hopefully resolved. This may require an Addendum to your surrogacy or gestational carrier agreement. - Make sure your lawyer and your carrier’s lawyer are notified of the situation.
