From the course description: “Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) contracts include extremely complex and sensitive issues that prompt a number of ethical concerns for attorneys. In this extremely beneficial program, Colleen Quinn guides attorneys on the ethical standards of ART contract drafting under both the ABA Rules of Professional Conduct and the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive (AAARTA) Code of Ethics. She will begin by reviewing common conflicts of interest in ART cases and how to best manage and avoid them. She will then explain possible jurisdictional and conflict of law issues that may arise as well as the various types of ART contracts that exist. Throughout the course, Ms. Quinn will present case studies and sample contract language to illustrate effectively how to ethically draft ART contracts.
